Lebenslauf

Seit September 2025 ist Christina Vonnahme Professorin für Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Westfälischen Hochschule. Zudem ist sie seit Juni 2024 Leiterin der RWI/IAB-Nachwuchsgruppe "Ökologische Transformation, Arbeitsmarkt, Aus- und Weiterbildung" am RWI – Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung in Essen. 

Zuvor war sie seit 2021 als Postdoc im Kompetenzbereich „Arbeitsmärkte, Bildung, Bevölkerung“ des RWI tätig. Zwischen 2015 und 2021 war sie Doktorandin in der Forschungsgruppe "Migration und Integration", Betreuer*in ihrer Dissertation waren Prof. Dr. Thomas K. Bauer und Prof. Christina Gathmann, PhD. 

Ihr Masterstudium der Volkswirtschaftslehre absolvierte sie an der Universität Heidelberg, ihr Bachelorstudium in International Economics an der Universität Tübingen sowie an der Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentinien. 

Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte und Forschungsinteressen sind die Ökologische Transformation des Arbeitsmarktes, die empirische Arbeitsmarkt-, Bildungs- und Migrationsökonomie sowie die angewandte Mikroökonometrie.
